HowNow Knowledge Manager is the base module of the HowNow Document Management System. The Records, Email and Workflow Manager modules add on to Knowledge Manager to complete the system.
HowNow Knowledge Manager software is linked to your existing contacts database and includes a Home Page, Organisation Screen, and a Knowledgebase of approx 1,000 templates and procedures that we provide and keep updated for you. Home Screen: This is the ’start your day’ page for your staff members. Each person’s view is specific to them, showing their News List, Favourite Documents, Recently accessed Documents, as well as firm-wide Birthdays, Anniversaries and RSS feeds (news).
Organisation Screen: Your firm’s Organisational Chart with staff details and procedures relating to their role within the firm. Easily see firm hierarchy, positions, contact details and position relationships (mentors). Each person has their own list of Procedures that relate to their role, acting as an electronic Procedures Manual for each staff member.
Knowledge Screen: This is where you house the 1,000 Documents that we provide with our Accountants Content, with your Monthly Content Updates being pushed directly to this screen (don’t have to remember to check for updates). You also add in any of your documents you are using in conjunction with our Content, including things like Firm Mission Statement, Dress Codes, Photocopier Code, Usernames and Passwords, Staff Drinks Preferences for Friday night drinks… making HowNow the one central place to look for all information needed within the firm.
Contacts Screen: HowNow is connected to your firm’s main Contacts Database (usually your Practice Management System) by a one way connection that updates HowNow with any changes made to the main database. This connection allows you to file against your clients and pull their information into Merge letters without having to maintain another database.
